The academy also provides a timetabled enrichment afternoon, once a fortnight on every other Wednesday. This has allowed us to introduce an array of clubs and activities which further develop students’ Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development.
Students in Year 11 are also given additional timetabled support three times a week. This ensures equity of provision and allows all students to have access to specialist teachers for personalised intervention and catch-up opportunities. These lessons support all students by offering the time and expertise to consolidate learning or iron out any misconceptions that they may have regarding their understanding in a timely fashion.
