On Tuesday 27th February students (and staff) were treated to performances from up and coming indie band The Mercians.
As part of a tour of schools up and down the country the band played some of their songs and spoke with students in years 7 to 10 about overcoming mental health issues, the dangers of social media and the importance of treating everyone with respect.
Students were able to ask questions and meet members of the band after each performance and when the band make it big, students will be able to say they saw them at the very start!
The 5 piece band from Leicester have been together for a few years and on the back of some notable chart positions are on a UK headlining tour in May. On the basis of what students saw this week, next stop, Wembley!!
