On Monday 26th February the Academy was visited by Julius Weinberg, the Chair of Ormiston Academies Trust.
Newly appointed to the role for this academic year, Julius has a wealth of experience working within a range of organisations including having previously been a chair of Ofsted.
During his visit Julius met with staff, observed lessons and met with a group of students from across the Academy.
Speaking of his visit Julius said:
As chair of the Ormiston Academies Trust I think it is important to visit or schools. Whilst we need to worry about finances, buildings and IT it is important to be reminded that what really matters is what is happening in the classroom where great teachers inspire young people so that our pupils can have interesting, worthwhile, fulfilling futures. My recent visit to Endeavour was informative and enjoyable. I met ambitious staff who really care about what they are doing and the futures of the pupils in their charge. Best of all was to meet and talk with the pupils who were proud of their school. Indeed, one criticism they had was that the school was not “loud” enough in saying how good it was to the outside world. As I get older I worry that future generations will not have the attitudes, skills and talents to face up to, and even resolve many of the challenges we face. After my visit to Endeavour I am much reassured!
